Here's how to obtain the best possible results with signature, logo and special artwork stamps.
Please supply a clean, crisp black-on-white signature, logo or artwork in the size you wish the stamp to be. Signatures are best if written with a black roller ball type or fine point felt tip pen on clean white (unlined) paper. Try to submit more than one signature and we'll select the best one for reproduction. The use of a ball point pen (even black) is discouraged, as the pen tends to leave skips in the stroke. These skips will not reproduce and the quality of the finished signature stamp may not be to your liking.
For self-inking (Ideal stamps®) or pre-inked stamps (Xstampers® or iStamp®), be sure
to use the size guidelines provided with each. Remember the signature cannot extend past the edges of the stamp, anywhere.
Pretty much the same rules hold true for logo and/or artwork stamps. Good clean black-on-white artwork is important. We can reduce or enlarge clean artwork to meet your size requirements, but please make sure your artwork is clean. We are unable to clean-up images that are just too poor to reproduce photographically.
If you would like to submit artwork to us digitally via computer disk or E-mail, we can accept several common PC based formats. Generally file types: .BMP, .TIF, and .WMF work best. Other file formats can be converted, including some MAC formats, but please contact us first
for complete details.
A word about FAX machines...
There's no doubt that the FAX machine has revolutionized our order processing, but the FAX falls short when it comes to signatures and/or artwork. The resolution is just not good enough (yet)! Also many FAX machines will alter the size of the transmitted images.
If we are unable to reproduce your submitted signature or artwork, it may become necessary to return it to you for replacement. This will cause an unnecessary delay
in processing your order!
It is a piece of artwork that is ready for the final stage in making a printing die, or for digitizing.
It needs no touch-up, clean-up or editing. It is finished and camera ready.
