RUBBER CHOICES:
NATURAL RUBBER RIBtype is best for general purpose use with water-based or alcohol based inks. Standard hardness of
55-durometer. Also available in softer 30-durometer.
BLACK BUNA RIBtype is oil and acid resistant. Buna is black with a
standard hardness of 50-durometer. It is also available in hard 90-durometer or soft 30-durometer.
BLACK EP (EPDM) RIBtype is excellent for use with acids, caustics, alcohols, glycols and water based inks. Available in 35 and 50
durometer.
BLACK NEOPRENE RIBtype is very similar to buna. It is oil and acid resistant and makes excellent imprints. Sometimes
used in place of 50-durometer buna.
GREEN PVC is flexible plastic material that does not transfer ink as well as natural rubber
but provides great durability is some applications.
SILICONE (blue and white) RIBtype is used for thermal (hot) ink transfer
printers because of its high heat tolerance.
